bot-obsessed

as if i needed further evidence of how cool my dad is... (he built me a robot for christmas!) 

i had mentioned having an idea for a small photo project involving a robot quite a while back, and i knew my dad was collecting vintage parts. just wasn't expecting my very own bot this soon. hopefully i'll get a chance to bring him/her/it to life soon. these pictures really don't do it justice. 

dad also found the time to build me a large ring light for christmas. literally the most impressively home-assembled ring light i've ever seen (and i've seen lots!). pictures of that and using that to follow soon.  :)

Paris in winter

i was recently commissioned by a french ad agency to do a campaign for a clothing store in paris (the concept was based on a pre-existing image of mine, but required an additional accompanying image and a complete re-shoot). so two of my photographs are currently up on billboards and storefronts across paris (though i have not personally seen them!)

haven't really been content with anything i've shot lately, but happy to give these images a home on my blog.

still alive

just a quick post - a portrait that i took several months ago that i've always kind of liked. AND evidence that i'm still alive! i've been going through a serious funk, but i'm going to kick myself into gear and return with a vengeance very soon. just you watch.

Counterpoint

For any of you living in NYC (or for those of you who may be visiting soon) I highly recommend going to check out the Robert and Shana ParkeHarrison "Counterpoint" exhibit at the Jack Shainman Gallery. (running from October 10th-November 8th). This husband and wife team are brilliant together, and their photographic creations are amongst my favorites.
